yes, humans tend to recognize common archetypes; but in a way it is reductive differentiation, like separating a spectrum into discrete color blocks. i believe you can realize a new role for yourself at any time. we never know for sure where we fit.

You know how there are re-occurring characters across all stories and time? Protagonist, antagonist, the giver, the guide, the destroyer, the healer, the anger, the broken, the power, the scum, blah blah…
And then you try to see where your parallels lie in those stories, it seems to change from time to time.
But then you see patterns all around you and your character becomes more settled...
